Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Unrent ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

Description of Service

Unrent is a streaming content tracker that helps users find where movies and TV shows are available to watch across streaming services, and notifies users when content becomes included with their subscriptions. The app provides informational data about streaming availability and does not itself stream or host any content.

Data Accuracy

Streaming availability data is sourced from third-party providers including The Movie Database (TMDB) and JustWatch. While we strive to provide accurate information, we cannot guarantee that all data is current or error-free. Streaming availability may change without notice, and there may be a delay of 24–48 hours between a change on a streaming service and its reflection in the app.

Unrent is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by any streaming service. Streaming service names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our services or systems
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the app
• Redistribute or commercially exploit the app or its content

In-App Purchases

Unrent offers a one-time in-app purchase to remove advertisements. All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Refund requests should be directed to Apple. Prices are displayed in your local currency and may vary by region.

Affiliate Links

The app contains affiliate links to streaming services including Amazon and others. When you tap a link to watch content on a streaming service, we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases or subscriptions at no additional cost to you. These affiliate partnerships do not influence the streaming availability data displayed in the app.

Third-Party Content and Services

The app displays content metadata (titles, descriptions, poster images) provided by The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Streaming availability data is provided by JustWatch.

The app may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services.

Intellectual Property

The Unrent app name, design, and original code are the property of Defrust. Movie and TV show metadata, poster images, and streaming service logos are the property of their respective owners and are used under applicable licenses and API terms of service.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of streaming availability data.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Defrust shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the app.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
